Susan Wood Receives Barbara Seamen Award for Activism in Women’s Health

Associate Professor and Director of the Jacobs Institute of Women’s Health Susan Wood was honored with the Barbara Seamen Award for Activism in Women’s Health by the the National Women’s Health Network. The celebration took place on June 12 from 6-8 pm at the Whittemore House (1526 New Hampshire Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20036).

“Barbara was a magnificent role model, and I am truly honored to receive this award named after her—we need activism based on good information and research more than ever,” said Wood. At the ceremony, she thanked the National Women’s Health Network at this event for their work and their impact over the past and into the future.
