Faculty, staff and students from the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health Department of Health Policy and Management presented cutting-edge research and policy analyses at the 2019 AcademyHealth Annual Research Conference, the nation's premier health services and policy research conference.
Podium presentations and discussions by department members addressed topics such as health workforce and quality, health policy in the courts, Medicaid, work requirements and medical education. Presenters and discussants included Sara Rosenbaum, JD; Leighton Ku, PhD, MPH; Polly Pittman, PhD; Candice Chen, MD, MHP; Qian (Eric) Luo, MPSA; Erin Brantley, Bill Borden, MD, MBA, and Jeongyoung Park, PhD, MPH.
Nine department members had poster presentations covering topics such as community health centers, the National Health Service Corps, immunization, nursing, language services, cystic fibrosis and dementia. Presenters included Marsha Regenstein, PhD; Anushree Vichare, PhD; Pittman; Clese Erickson, MPAff; Brian Bruen, PhD; Xinxin Han, MS; Kan Giannastasio; Semret Seyoum; and Y. Tony Yang, PhD.
