The Role of Health Information Law in Health System Transformation

HPM Vice Chair  of Academic Affairs and Associate Professor Jane Hyatt Thorpe is the author of an article in Public Health Reports which explains the legal aspects of health information and why they are critical for successful health system transformation.  In particular, “Health System Transformation and the Role of Health Information Law” looks at the legal and policy issues surrounding the electronic exchange of patient health information, and ways to support health system transformation through new health care delivery models and updates to privacy and security measures.
