On March 21, 2017, the GW Milken Institute SPH's Department of Health Policy and Management held an event titled "Future of Medicaid and the Health Safety Net" featuring Professor Leighton Ku. The issues that Dr. Levi discussed included changes that are being considered by Congress for Medicaid, the health insurance for low-income Americans, and related safety net providers, such as community health centers, safety net hospitals, family planning and mental health clinics.
